Let's talk about the Beast

Get to know Bestie, so it'll be easier for us to chat. :)

What/who is Bestie?

Bestie is a brand that was created from the heart's need. Our goal is to introduce modern menstrual solutions. We want your period to be as comfortable as possible for you. Bestie exists thanks to Julia and Martyna. Julia is a brand designer and an educator for designers. Martyna is an online creator, marketer and a social activist. The girls wanted to break the taboo and help menstruating people.

But Bestie is not just a brand, it's also a community that we have created and continue to grow. We want every woman to feel that she is not alone in this and that we are all in the same boat. Similar, but not the exact same! That is why at Bestie, we will never tell you how you should feel during your period or how you ought to get through it. But if you'd like, we will keep you company during this time.

Remember, that in this friendship there are no taboos!

Why do we focus on education?

We want menstruation to never again be associated with embarrassment, shame, or unpleasant situations for you. It is the 21st century, and it is high time for periods to stop being a taboo topic. We want to put an end to covertly handing a friend a pad and whispering in corners. Menstruation is a natural process, and we believe that is exactly how it should be viewed. That is why we focus on open conversations about periods and womanhood. We know there is still a lot of work to be done in this regard.

How do we support people who menstruate?

We collaborate with Różowa Skrzyneczka (Pink Box), a foundation fighting against menstruation taboo and period poverty. The organization ensures unconditional access to free hygiene products during menstruation, while also educating and advocating for equal access to knowledge about periods. The foundation is also fighting for systemic changes in this area. We want to do our bit, which is why we're working together with Różową Skrzyneczką. With every purchase of a disc, we donate another unit to a person experiencing period poverty.

We will soon announce another project aimed at helping people who menstruate. Stay tuned!
